Any Local Community groups

Hi, can anyone tell me if there are any local community groups for people that are feeling lonely, and those that just need people to meet up and chat with. Would appreciate all suggestions. Thanks

Would be nice to get a group of Acton singleton's together for pubs, outings etc.

You can always join boot camp in Acton Park or Turnham Green ...run by Urban Vitality. Very social, lots of fun and a good way of getting fit.They are also doing a singles bootcamp on Sunday 12 September at 11am, followed by lunch at the Rocket.  I think you need to sign up.

Marie,  what are you interested in?  Better to join groups or activities that you like?  Reading,  isn't there a Book Group that meets in the Rocket?  Sport?Does the Churchfield Association (not sure of proper name) have social get togethers?  There is a thread about Acton history group maybe pop along there?

book group one sunday a month at the rocket - next one on the 19th but beware it's anna karenina - gets easier for the rest of the year though.CCA socials first wednesday evening of the month in local hostelry...just come along around 8.30. also quizzes in kalinka and a picnic next weekend.film club and life drawing classes also at rocket.cookery classes angela malik but quite expensivehistory society contact david bayes.plus lots of local church activity...gyms...bowls...library.

It's at L'oriental in churchfield Road at 8pm tonight - I will pop in if the boxes unpacking is going well - or at least better.
