Pie and Mash Shop in Ealing

Whilst over in Germany I was looking at my German friends guide book to London which is a few years old. It has a picture of a Pie and Mash Shop somewhere in Ealing called A.Cooke at no 48.Has anyone ever heard of it and does it still exist and if so where is the location?

It's not in Ealing Tony. It's always been at 48 Goldhawk Road W.12. Just along from Shepherds Bush Market.020 8743 7630Even now it still tastes the same as when i was a kid.......and that's going back a fair few years.......I don't 'do' the eels though !!

Cheers guys even better to know that it's still in existance and local.My German friend wants to try Pie and Mash when she is next over and we were going to go to Bethnal Green and Roman Road.

For a modern take on British classics, you could also try Canteen - www.canteen.co.uk Will cost a bit more than your pie and mash shop but there are several branches around town, including Baker St and Royal Festival Hall. And I bet the pie and mash shop doesn't do chocolate sundaes.
