Acton Central - closed on Sundays?

Earlier today I was told by the station guard that the trains do not stop at Acton Central on Sundays.  Bearing in mind they had two members of staff at the ticket office I cannot see why the train to Stratford cannot stop on a Sunday

because the rail works - it's closed Sundays for about two years which is incredibly frustrating. there is a very long thread on the subject if you want to see the long running fed-up-ness. but Network Rail are immoveable whatever we say.Very boring.

In other words, there is no Overground to Stratford from anywhere on Sundays. Or to Richmond. Nor has there been within living memory. Or so it seems.

"Nor has there been within living memory"Your memory is short, Ian.  There was a Sunday service last weekend (29 August) to Richmond and to Gospel Oak.  But it may have been the last one this year.
