compaq presario charger wanted

I don't even know what one of these is - but my son would really like to borrow one of these (whatever they are) for a short period.Anyone have one?

Possibly. You (or rather he) needs to be more specific, as not all models use the same adapter.

Hmmm. If the laptop/charger combination suddenly stopped working some time ago, then it is possible that the laptop connection damaged the charger. In which case, Jim above might want a little assurance if his charger doesn't have overcurrent protection.

If he just needs to recover data but the laptop proves to be dead, it may be relatively cheap to repair the laptop or he could use an external USB adapter to access the drive (I have one if he needs to borrow it).
