6 weeks Girls club Monday Priory Community Centre

Following a very successful 6 week boys group, Descendants in partnership with Acton Safer Neighbourhood team are running a 6 weeks Girls clubVenue :- Priory Community centre, Acton Lane, London w.3 8nyTimes  Session 1 4-5.30 Girls only age 7-11  -primary       Session 2 6-7.30 Girls only age 11+  -SECONDARYHave fun, play indoor sports, make new friend, just enjoy yourself. We will provide you with plenty of water!and fresh fruits, and a safe environment.                ALL GIRLS ARE INVITED AND IT IS FREE Come along register your child and the fun begins...Margaret 07745 889521

My son attended the Boys Club last term with three of his classmates. He absolutely loved it, especially playing football with the two young policemen.

Magaret, are you able to update us on the fate of the Centre - bearing in mind the Council is now Labour run?

Dee I wish I could, Descendants has been there for since 1994, and right now I am just waiting to get my marching order, to where I don't know.  I hear through the grapevine that it is going to be turned back into a primary school by next September, how true that is I really don't know.Until then we will carry on working with young people.  The Boys group run in partnership with the safer neighbourhood team was a brilliant success, so now it is the girls turn, it is only a six weeks project so if you know of any girls wanting to attend, please bring them along.  It is free because it is funded by the police, and everyone who volunteers are volunteers.

Margaret thanks for that.  As our son attended the excellent pre-primary school nursery, when the building was a primary school, that could be good news.  Wasn't this nursery one of the few that was open during war time to enable mothers to work?

Margaret - does the session run every afternoon, or a certain weekday only?  I'd be interested in more info.

Sorry for the late Reply Kate the Girls Club runs for 6 weeks every Monday two sessions primary 7-11 4-5.30 then 6-7.30 for secondary. It is free, and we provide fruits and water, lots of fun. This is the 3rd week, come and check it out.It is run with and supported by the Local Safer neighbourhood team.  Margaret 07745 889521 for more info.
