money left in cash machine

About mid day today, Sunday somebody forgot to take their cash from a Bank cash machine on Acton High Rd, (Uxbridge High Rd ). If it was you and you know which bank and the amount I have handed it in to Acton Police Station. My good deed for the day.

Lovely man. It might be worth letting the bank know in case the person notifies them of their oversight.

Yes I Know, I obtained the banks number from the internet, called and went through an automated, press 1 ect, held on until I spoke to someone, would you believe a call centre in India, anyways they stated that they did not have the branch's number. I shall pop in to the branch tomorrow and inform them.

Wow talk about customer service! Unbelievable the Bank's call centre could not notify the branch and left to the honest and decent Shaf.

Jen,I was on the phone for about 15/20 mins trying to get through as the automated system first started off with asking for my account no. Then was it credit card ect, as i did not press any numbers that were relevant to the query, would go to sorry did not recognise. Finally got through to a call centre, asked for the phone no for branch which they did not have, when I explained the query said he would have to transfer me. Waited a few more minutes and quite frankly, as I was busy I hung up with the thought that it would be easier to go in to the branch tomorrow. I only put this on this site so that whoever left their money might have a chance to retrieve it. I have not in any way started this thread with " Look at me how honest I am" Nor do I much care about your innuendo.

Sorry Shaf I seem to have offended you?  There was no innuendo, I read your earlier post as saying the call centre could not give the branch number to you.  I felt that was poor customer service and that you are doing a good thing going to the bank tomorrow,  there was no innuendo or slur meant towards you?
