Overground signalling closures

Remember the last closures where TfL/NR didn't get all the signalling completed in time?  The final big push has been announced on TfL's website:http://www.tfl.gov.uk/corporate/media/newscentre/16694.aspxGospel Oak to Stratford  from the evening of 18 December until 24 December 2010Richmond to Stratford and Shepherd's Bush to Willesden Junction from 27 December 2010 until 3 January 2011Further shorter closures during spring 2011 to complete the works by next May, the dates of these will be confirmed closer to the timeWorks requiring weekend-only closures will carry on until mid-2011Warning: contains the usual drivel from the Mayor's 'transport advisor'.

Have just heard back from the helpful chap at LOROL about the bumpy crossing - at least it's on the agenda:“Preparation work has already taken place and is now complete; the remedial work that must take place whilst the railway is out of use, and in conjunction with the local council, is scheduled for mid October when this work is expected to be completed.”So within about a month then - will keep enquiring

I returned last night from a week in Devon to find a message from Network Rail on my phone that said that the work to sort out the bumpy crossing would be done between 22 and 26 November.  When I've got a moment to spare I'll try to track him down (he left a name but no number), and ask him- why it's a month later than LOROL are saying- why he says it's scheduled for a Mon-Fri period when the trains are running- why it can't be done on a Sunday much sooner.
