Lap dancing regulations
You have until the 19th October to register your views with Ealing Council about its proposed sex establishment policy.The law has been changed on the regulation of lap dancing clubs, however, each local authority has to adopt these measures to ensure that local people have a greater say over the opening of a lap dancing club or the renewal of a club's licence. At present such clubs are regulated under the same premises licence that can be given to cafes or karaoke bars.If Ealing is to adopt Schedule 3 of the 2009 Policing and Crime Act, local people will have a say. This is particularly important in Acton and Ealing as the council report has described both these areas as having a "vibrant night time economy" and are thus more likely to get more such establishment than other high streets in the borough, which are considered more residential.
