Liners for green recycling caddies

Bought some from the recommended hardware store near Twyford School. They say 7 litres on the outside but they are 2/3 inches inches shorter in length than the original ones supplied by the council. As a consequence they keep slipping down into the inside. A minor irritation but are the original/longer ones available anywhere?

I bought some from Ocado or was it Morrisons? - not very expensive, a good size and have lasted very well.

I have discovered that if you line the caddies with newspaper, then wrap up scraps in newspaper each time the bin stays fresh and there is no need to use the bin liners!After collection day I just wash out the caddy ready for the next time!

My wife is of the same view - though she complains how expensive the bags she buys from Sainsburys are, she does admit they do the job very well!

I line mine as you would badly line a cake tin!  Taller sheets split a bit round the sides and then a thicker bit on the bottom.  Hounslow suggest putting some of your shredded (ie confidential) paper on the bottom to soak up liquid.  Oxford have a diagram that's too complicated for me to understand LOL!  There's newspaper around so haven't felt the need to hunt for any liners.  It is good to have options.

The bags available at Morrisons are a better fit than the ones supplied with the bins and secure the waste better, I find. When I last bought them they were tucked away on the very bottom row below the assorted bin bags. Small brown box.

My brother tried using them to line the bucket with peelings etc for compost in so he didn't have to wash it out and then found that the Council provided bag didn't disintegrate in his ordinary compost heap.  This just goes to show that there are different bags around and you do need to make sure you get the right ones for the job.
