One poor lady was mugged in South Kensington the other evening. On her way to the Royal Albert Hall when 2 men asked her the time.She looked at her watch, they grabbed her handbag, knocked her to the floor. Made off with her bag, money, cards, keys, mobile phone and ticket for the show!I didn't hear whether she managed to get any of her belongings back. Someone gave her a ticket for the show the following day, but what an awful experience for a visitor to Kensington.Ladies, I think we do carry everything in our handbags, pretty horrific to lose the lot just like that!This can happen anywhere so do take great care. The Police were aware of these 2 muggers, I think they are still on the loose in that area!We told friends visiting London just to keep on walking when people stop to ask the time etc.
