Does anyone know how long the sunday closures are going to continue on the overground?

I think it's next May - it is running to time...Richard Jennings will confirm.There are total blackades - ie no service at all - over Xmas and again for a few days in February.

I think next May is the date by which we should get the full service restored, but we might possibly get some Sunday trains before then.  The current timetables run until 11 December, and nothing has been announced yet about planned changes from 12 December onwards.By the way, I understand that the lengthened (4-car) trains have started to appear on the North London Line now that the platform extensions are all finished.  I think at the moment it's a matter of luck whether you get a 3-car or a 4-car train, but they will all be 4 cars before too long.

Certainly they are all positioning themselves on the platform as though they COULD be four car trains.

Certainly needed, as the present 3 cars always appear to be full to bursting in the rush hours.

I never seem to have a problem on them at 6:30 in the morning! But the 4:30 trains always get very busy at Gunnersbury and South Acton (not sure what's exciting at South Acton to make trains busy). The 4 car trains are slowly coming in to use. Seems odd getting on a 4 car train there as it’s been 3 cars for as long as I can remember

Perhaps they'll do some of the stations on the Greenford line next, as they can currently only run two-car trains on that branch line due to the length of some of the platforms further down the line from Ealing, and they can't argue there aren't a lot of people using the service as the two car trains are often packed at rush hour - and especially when there's a problem on the Central Line!
