Are London pigeons starving?
While supping my breakfast coffee this morning and looking out at the small birds hopping around on the lawn picking at the worms, I saw a sight I have never seen before! A pigeon swooped down on one of the smaller birds and tried killing him with his claws. Attempts to distract, banging on window etc all failed with the pigeon flying off with the poor bird in his claws. Are our pigeons starving or have I just been very lucky to never witnessed this type of attack before?
