'Helping Arms'
One of these Clothing Collection fliers just landed on my doormat. It says it's from "Helping Arms" and gives a registered number; claims to be supporting University College London Hospital. This is definitely not a charity. There have been two complaints (one in 2007, another in 2009) to the ASA, neither of which has been upheld - these people can't spell, but they have been careful about the wording of their flier. Don't know if it's worth reporting to Ealing Council trading standards, but wanted to draw attention to the fact that if you do decide to throw out stuff using one of their bags, you may not be donating to charity...
