Can anyone recommend a local garage or mechanic that would do a fair and honest service on a 5 year old Fiat. Suggestions and views appreciated.

Burlington (think that is the name) Birbeck Rd entrance on your left if The Rocket is on your right. I have been going there a few years and very reasonable.

The garage on the north/east side of Gunnersbury Lane - just before Acton Town Station (I've forgotten the name) - but it used to be a petrol filling station - is excellent. My husband has used them for many years.

I can second Knights, but when I needed a quick job in the summer and they were on holiday, I went back to Swan, just off Bollo Lane, who were as good and reasonable as I remembered.

I used Rosebank Motors on Shakespeare Road last and was very pleased with them but it wasn't for a service.
