Has anyone heard when this CPZ is coming in? Promised in the Spring, then again in the summer, now it's autumn. Silence from our Leaders after repeated emails.

Are you sure you are getting a CPZ? I live in the next street Shalimar Gardens and I certainly wasn't aware that we were to be included in a CPZ. The last time we were consulted was about two years ago and we voted it down. I will be contacting our councillors if we are because we have had no consultation

The consultation for the Fryers Green CPZ outer area ie the area west of Horn Lane which is from Lynton Road down as far as Springfield Gardens took place in in June 2009.Here is the last communication I have had from the council dated 29th Sept:-"I have checked the programme for the implementation of the above CPZ and unfortunately due to significant changes to the design following consultation, it has taken slightly longer than anticipated to produce the design. We hope to finalise the detailed design by the end of this month with the traffic orders advertised in September and on completion of the statutory objection period (21 days) for the traffic orders, we intend to be on site commencing with the marking of the CPZ in October. We will be informing the residents when the works are to commence by means of a letter drops which is carried out 7-10 days prior to commencing works on site. I apologise that it has taken slightly longer to commence with the implementation of this CPZ."

There is one very angry household in Shalimar Gardens as we received no consultation in June 2009 about a CPZ. Friars Green is one the other side of Horn Lane north east of Acton Main Line. Is there some confusion here.

Thanks Alison. Clearly the consultation passed us by.

I thought the CPZ would be rejected. The main time it is difficult to park here is late evening when everyone is home from work. I only found out the CPZ was coming when Trevor posted on this site in May asking when the CPZ would be implemented.

I certainly did not want it. The only people who park round here are those who live here.
