Anyone else effected by the price rise at the baths?

I'm a member at Acton baths, its great value and I swim there 3-4 times a week.  And on a Sunday I take my son swimming at Gurnell.This weekend the baths returns to the council.  So while my membership will still let me swim there I'll need to pay when I go to Gurnell.At £3.50 a swim this works out at £14 a month, or a greater than 50% increase.Am I the only one this hits?

I think the alteration in management only affects those who use more than one centre. If (like me) you go to Acton Baths only ('cos I can walk there) nothing changes. Likewise, if your base is Gurnell, everything stays the same. It's only if you want to go to both that there's a problem...

Hi Allen, If you are a 'pay monthly' member I don't think there's anything you can do. If you are an annual member ie you paid a lump some up front and have a number of months left to run on your membership, and you regularly use both centres, then clearly you're not going to be happy. If this applies to you, then you should raise it with Gurnell next time you go there.
