Noticed yesterday whilst jogging down Chiswick High Street that they already have their Christmas lights up on the lamp posts.

Where I live we don't have Christmas lights we have Eid and Diwali lights. These went on early this year as it was an early Eid and they just continue through. There is nothing christmassy about them at all, depicting palm trees and crescents etc

Though it could be said that palm trees are more in keeping with where Jesus was born, than snow and sleighs etc.

preparations in full swing iin regents street.the good thing about thanksgiving in the states is few xmas preparations till taht is over late november - or maybe things have changed there too.
