Dog Poo on the increase?
Sorry folks, horrible subject but has anyone noticed that there does seem to be a lot more dog poo in our streets lately?I am sorry to say that I fear there is an increase in the number of irresponsible dog owners who allow their pets to foul the pavement without bothering to clear up the mess.Recently in my street we have had dog poo right outside the gate, also in front of the garage. What is wrong with these people? Is it too much to ask them to take their mess with them?Although the Council do come out and attend to the problem we really should not have to keep getting the Council involved. In the end this is going to cost more just to ensure that our streets are kept clean. Nowadays I guess it would be dangerous to challenge a dog owner for fear of their reaction. I note that more and more owners just don't even bother to carry a poop scoop or a bag - and the few who have actually had the cheek to throw the bag on the pavement after they have cleaned the mess!I believe we will be getting notices on the lamp posts in our street but if the dog owners are irresponsible then I can't see what good it will do really, they are hardly likely to take any notice, unless these people face a hefty fine then I guess the problem will continue.
