Camping.We spent a month in Cornwall in the summer and had 5 days without electricity.  It was strange but nice to have no phone, email or internet.  You would have to disable the car radio.a

Because I am an ambient consumer of all media - can't help myself - listen to Radio 4 in the gym and fall asleep to 5Live with just websites, phones, internet and telly in between.Chris - you must be joking re Paris - there isn't another place in the world more likely to be in full wedding fever than there!

Go to Wales or Cornwall - rent a cottage without a tv or radio and you will definitely get no phone signal!  Shops are never open so you won't see a newspaper either!

I'm thinking of leading a walk somewhere out of London that day - possibly along part of the Saxon Shore Way but am open to suggestions
