Tuition fees vote

I wrote to Angie Bray a few days ago about the tuition fees vote, but have had no reply as yet. As I only moved to Acton a few months ago (hello!), does anyone know if she's expressed an opinion before? Google has not been my friend so far in trying to dig anything up.I was in the very first year of paying £3,000 and it was hard enough to make that decision even with a very supportive family behind me. How anyone could face £9,000 I don't know.

Still no reply. I assume she'll be voting in line with the government, but surely it doesn't take that long to say so?

I wonder if she got it. I have found her more responsive than any previous MP (not in itself saying a lot!)

Mystery solved - I received a letter in today's post. It doesn't specifically say that she will vote in favour, but it does wax lyrical about how good the government's proposals are, so I think we can assume which way she'll vote.She doesn't however, address one of the main concerns I asked her about in my email - given that a large number of students from poorer backgrounds won't be able to continue studying at school when EMA is abolished, how are they expected to take advantage of the scholarship schemes the government proposes? (In fact, re-reading the email I sent, her reply seems to address nothing I wrote to her about. I'd be interested if anyone else has written to her on this issue - is it just a stock response?)

She holds a minor government appointment, PPS or somesuch so I doubt very much she would vote against or abstain. She might be a very pleasant lady, but she is still a tory......

I also got a letter back from Ms Bray about this subject and I got the impression she will be voting in favour of these proposals. Good luck to all students and school children protesting! I really hope it makes the government rethink this policy.

She is PPS to Francis Maude and has therefore been lighting the touchpaper for the bonfire of the Quangos.Actually, she spoke to the AGM of the churchfield community association and was very interesting on the pros and cons of holding minor (unpaid) governemtn office.

I have found Angie Bray to be very helpful and had no problem with communicaitions.

I lobbied her in July about education cuts.  She is a very pleasant person but true blue through and through.  She agreed with the Free Schools movement and the £50 million cut to the Harnessing Technology grant.  I assume she also agrees with cancelling EMA and raising tuition fees.I would like to know how she can justify spending tax payers money on Trident and the continued occupations of Irag and Afghanistan at a time when so many cuts are being made.  If you do lobby her perhaps you could ask.

I've not heard her name as one of the few Tory rebels, so I think it's safe to say she voted for. Also noticed earlier on twitter that she was refusing to meet constituents in the Commons earlier today (http://twitter.com/#!/nusuk/status/12560704431198208).
