police stabbing in ealing maybe linked to perryn/shaa road drug dealing

there was a person with an outstanding warrant for their arrest for selling class 'a' drugs from number XX in perryn road. It might be him who did this. how about more pco's towards acton central, perryn and shaa road, and a little less of them outside morrisions ?

Why do you believe there is a connection?I liked the Tips & Warnings item on the eHow Web site:"If you check with the police department to see if there is a possible warrant issued for you and a warrant is found, the police department may take you into custody."

Today was a very sad day for Ealing. 2 men were seriously injured in the line of duty, protecting you and me from a clearly dangerous individual. My thoughts and best wishes go out to those two men and their families and colleagues.

What on earth makes you think there is any connection?the front page article says the police officers were checking bus tickets.It's a shocking event but seems to have no link to Shaa road - or any other part of Acton and I would love to know how you come to draw those conclusions. Or do you have different/better sources to the the rest of us?

According to this morning's press, yesterdays attacker was on his way from Hayes to White City and was wanted for killing someone whilst driving.As for having less police presence outside Morrisons, i totally disagree. It was only 3 weeks ago that a security guard was injured and had to be taken to hospital when he was attacked with a bottle inside the store and as a market trader, i have witnessed all sorts of incidents on The Mount. The more police presence in this area, the better !! My thoughts and prayers are with the young policeman who was seriously injured and of course his colleague who was also hurt.

It is common knowledge that the 207 bendy buses are a 'free' ride.  The sooner they go the better.  But I do hope that Boris has sorted out the procedure for dealing with those who refuse to buy a ticket when boarding the new buses.  A foolproof system needs to be put in place.Thoughts go out to the injured officer.  I hope that those passing by felt able to assist.

Yes ellieMorrisons definitely the crime capital of Acton - many more thefts etc than in the relatively quiet and affluent Shaa Road....even though there was this one dealing business.It sounded like one officer was now home and the other out of danger. I hope that is the case.

The posting on W3 site about the arrested person's behaviour in court seems to sadly affirm this is one very angry guy! That he is in custody rather than having escaped the scene of the crime and being sought is a matter I take great comfort in. No doubt the trial when it occurs will make the necessary connections on the key facts. Speculation on his history before that seems very premature and inappropriate.

The only way is to stop fare evasion is one of two-fold (or a combination) - very high fines (say £1000 if it is shown the person is guilty of evasion) or a massive increase in the chance of being caught (which costs of a lot more money). Most evaders will work out the odds and if they can evade fares of 50 journeys before being caught then you are going to need a big incentive as £20 isnt much of one.
