Squrrel damage

Has anyone had problems with Squirrel damage in lofts? We have one that is wreaking havoc and making a nest with the loft insulation and nibbling at the beams. Can you recommend any reliable and effective pest control people?

Not sure about which pest control firm is best. I do know that we had a similar problem a few years back. We boarded up the hole in the eaves where they were getting in but within an hour they had almost managed to gnaw and scrape their way back in. I smeared the whole area with the hottest vindaloo curry paste I could find and we never heard from them again.

Thanks Clare! I will give that a go... not only do they dig up my bulbs, but now they're in my attic! Something has to be done...

Squirrels used to keep stealing my wife's bulbs after she had planted them in her garden until she got a catapult and the problem ceased pretty quickly!On the issue of squirrels in the attic, Ealing pest control have always been helpful to me on the few times I needed them to assist. Get rid of them quick before they start eating your electric cables would be my suggestion - remember you cannot trap them and transport them anywhere since like foxes they are classed as vermin!
