We had CH come in a couple years back to install two new radiators and flush the entire system. I must say, we were pretty happy with that.Then, not long ago, we called them in again for a leaking radiator that I was sure needed serious repair or replacement and the guy gave half a turn on a nut and fixed it in 30 seconds. That cost us about £100. I was not happy about that, but really it was down to my own stupidity for not appreciating that the problem was so simple. (And CH's Ts&Cs cover them for this minimum charge, so all was legal and fair.) I guess, in retrospect, a nice gesture from CH might have been "We'll charge you £100 for doing almost nothing, but here's a £50 voucher that you can use towards future work."
