Jump in Jack's - a trip back in time
Just been to try Jump in Jack's, which has replaced the Broadway Cafe near Acton Town station.Oh dear. It's kitted out like a 1950s American diner, but the burger'n'chips menu is straight out of a 1970s Wimpy Bar. Even to the bendy frankfurters (which at least aren't called 'benders' any more!) My soup was very obviously made from a 'Maggi' catering mix, and my husband's burger was very mediocre.Shame the previous place closed - they made wonderful hearty Polish soups which were a meal in themselves.Oh well, I shall stick with the Acton Town Cafe who do a decent omelette and Lavazza coffee.
