What is the nature of the 'pest' you are trying to exterminate?

Mice!

1.  Remove the food source of the mice. Which could be caused by nearby neighbours/shops, etc.2.  Put down poison (in special green boxes) against the walls near to where you suspect the mice are entering the property.3.  Just up from the poison, but down traps bated with chocolate, again against the wall facing the way of entry.No need to pay someone to do what you can do yourself.

But the critical thing is to put very narrow meshed wire over all the places where they can come in or out - air-bricks, backs of cupboards etc. Apparently Mice can get through astonishingly small spaces.

there is another thread about the mice.  It seems like everyone is having a huge problem at the moment. We have spent close to 1k during the past 2 years for our 6 flats and still having problems.  Maybe it is time the council look at this a bit more seriously.

Have used the Council's pest control service (about a year ago) which was very good - for a fee, approx £60 from memory, they will visit several times to ensure the problem has been sorted.  The Pest Control officers turned up when they said they would which was really helpful.
