We were paying our last cleaner £10ph but decided to part ways after we noticed she had done a fair bit of damage to woodwork and on top of that seemed hyper-sensitive to any feedback or requests from us, even though we paid her holiday pay and are open, friendly people. In the end I felt it was the tail wagging the dog. From then on in we've done our own cleaning, despite hectic lives and after initial anxieties about it, we like doing it ourselves, feel we do a far better job and the woodwork gets treated with kindness, not to mention saving us over £160 pm!
