If you're looking at buying new, we have a Kenwood that we've had for about 7 years and just love it. However, we just couldn't get on with the little recipe booklet that was provided (the bread wouldn't rise, the dough was too liquid, and various other problems). I then went out and bought a bread maker cookbook, which had a wider selection of recipes, including pizza bases & cakes, all of which work very well. I've had to buy a replacement baking tin, as we use the machine 3x weekly, and getting the replacements from Kenwood was easy. If ours were to breakdown, I would either replace it with the same again or consider the higher priced Panasonic, which seems to have very good reviews.
