BOMBAY BISTRO

I just wrote a message re Bombay Bistro but am unsure if it went anywhere. So, at risk of repeating myself I should like to inform all who are concerned that we are NOT closing, despite anything that a member of staff may have told you.We know we have above average Indian cuisine and Chef Bhuwan Bhatt is preparing a new and exciting menu for March.Thank you all for your continuing custom.

Well that's good news.You get very good reports and I haven't been able to try you yet and would hate not to be able to do so

Yes I got an email from them today confirming that they are open and staying open.  We get a take away from them most Saturdays and have been really impressed with the quality of the food - not just your average Indian but Indian with a flair. Their Basil and garlic chicken tikka starter is especially good.  By far the best Indian in Acton.  Good service too.

I second that - they are great and have an extensive range of unusual vegetable dishes (the dishes, not the vegetables!)

Think I might wander down and try them tonight: husband - who dislikes Indian cuisine - is out for the third night running. ho hum.

Hope you found the food to your liking, Sara.I have received an email from the owner confirming that he is staying in business and that the "employee" who told me the place was about to close no longer works there.  All very intriguing  but am glad to know that it remains up and running.

Wholly delicious and delightful - and so beautifully presented too. Gratifying to see four or five tables occupied when we went in and the welcome and ambience is warm.We shared a vegetarian starte that was delectable but would have been far too much for one...then the chef's special chicken and a vegetarian dish with sweet potato plus pulao rice and the almond stuffed Nan. All that and a bottle of fizzy water for £22.50 between us. Astonishing really.Next i would like to try his health food al;ternative - but you have to pre-order the day before because at the moment they are only really catering it for private hospitals.Chef/owner confirmed no intention of closing - though they would welcome more customers and thus higher/some profit!Definitely worth a return trip.
