Anyone tried the new Police statistics site yet?
http://www.police.ukSupposed to show local crime and help us citizens call the police to account. It gets as local as a street but not a house. And December shows - for instance - that there were no crimes in Goldsmith Avenue in December but six cases of anti-sicial behaviour in Goldsmith Road, two violent incidents in Churchfield Road and one burglary and one vehicle crime in many Poet's corner Roads...though nothing near the bridge over the railway or perryn and Shaa roads. My worry is that it shows reported crime so if you have a vigilant, zero tolerance approach in your area, you may come across as more crime-ridden and scary and less desirable than somewhere where crime and anti-social behaviour could be greater but where people don't report it or get so exercised. And that's counter-productive.
