Mugging on Grove Road

There was a very violent mugging last night near corner of Grove Road/Churchfield Road at about 1am, I chased after the muggers  but they were very fast and I couldn't go far as my little girl was asleep.  The police were called, but the person who was attacked didn't want the police involved.  A very terrifying situation to witness, let alone be on the receiving end.  Hope the guy is ok.

Why would someone mugged NOT want the police involved?Seems odd....was it a mugging - which is essentially by a stranger - or a fracas/brawl etc where the victim knows the assaillant?Very brave of you though!

I don't think he knew the guys that attcked him, but the violence he was subjected to was horrific. There were 4 against one, certainly not a fracas! He was emotional at first then he wanted to go - when the police came I let them know in what direction he went.  Maybe he has had dealings with the police before and was very hesitant.  He had vry nasty head injuries, and hope he manages to get them seen to!

Unfortunately as I told the attending police, all I saw were three tall figures with hoodies.  It all happened very fast, but some other witnesses were able to give better descriptions.
