Tried a search as I remember exchanges some time ago, but nothing came up. Any recommendations for someone to draw up a new will, please? (The one I have is a DIY version...)

Lorna - Vickers in West Ealing did this for me at a reasonable cost and with very little fuss. Could be because I haven't got much to leave, but am sure they'd help.

I don't think it matters so much how much you have to leave as how many different people you want to leave it to.

It's how complex your finances are as well: if there is a trust or overseas property or anything complicated, you need a solicitor to draw the will and maybe the same/another to get probate (eventually !!)Even with not much to leave i would always advise getting a proper solicitor to draw up the will (a member of the solicitors regulation authority speaks!!) because there is some quality assurance and after all, they are regulated unlike will-writers.But simple ones don't need a solicitor to do probate: I have done two myself and it's a boring slog but not difficult and I found the tax people wholly charming and helpful.
