Kitten wanted

Hi, my girls have been bugging me for a kitten for years and I've finally succumbed. Does anyone have a kitten we could have or buy? I am checking gumtree and have looked in the pet shop on Crown Street but they only have exotic ones at £350 each. I have had cats before so it would be going to an experienced home. Any help appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Lorna, thanks for your reply. I did consider a rescue kitten and checked out HAWS and Battersea but the kittens that I looked at say not suitable for young children. I've waited until mine are 5 and 8 because I think they're ready for the responsibility but they're still quite boisterous so a jumpy cat may not be a good idea. Thank you for the suggestion though.

Don't give up on finding a kitten/young cat from the suggestions. From these locations, the cats will have a medical status and a contribution for approx £75 also covers vaccinations, microchipping etc as well as excellent advice for the welfare of the cat. When you looked on the Battersea website, it is likely the cats advertised have already had a difficult begining to life and are in need of a calmer home. Another idea is to maybe contact the vets such as Goddards on Horn Lane which may have even more suggestions.

Please please Don't buy a kitten. So many unwanted kittens in homes like the Mayhew.
