Garra Rufa fish at Enzo in Acton

I've just had my feet nibbled by these lovely little fish at Enzo in Acton (next to Thai Nice!).  It was a very strange, but very pleasante, experience - and I would thoroughly recommend the experience.  It left my tired feet feeling refreshed and silky smooth.   And, no, I have absolutely no connection to the salon!

This form of 'beauty' treatment has so far been banned in at least 14 USA states with more following because of health and safety issues.I think the problem lies in not the cleanliness of the water so much as how many feet these fish nibble on over the course of time and the amount of foot infections that have been transferred.....ewwwwwwwwwww

Well, it's probably as dangerous as paddling in the sea, and I love that.  Maybe I'll put my feet in some dettol when I get home.

They did say somewhere ( I'm quoting from memory) that although they had been banned in some states, there has so far been no incidents that have been reported in connection with the fish.

It's probably a good thing that any new service is checked over, but as with any pedicure, my feet were cleaned first, and I would suggest afterwards as well.  It is a lovely experience nonetheless!
