We're planning to host an 'Indian' evening for our friends with Indian food and Bollywood films.Does anyone know of a shop that sells Indian food and spices/ingredients for cooking? For example kurkure, paneer, etc.Thanks!

There is a sari shop in Churchfield Road - they may be able to advise on other things.Plus Angela Malik does fabulous Inidan food - not cheap though and some ingredients..chutneys and stuff but not many.All sorts of foods in assorted high street shops - lots of it Indian

You may want to cook your own food but...may I suggest Mr. Jasbir Singh at the Acton Market for food..his chicken curry, aloo tikki, okra bhaji etc..are wonderful and authentic. He has catered several dinner parties for me and everyone was very impressed.

Tung Hing Supermarket sells a wide array of spices, rice, pickles, chutney, sauces etc. Try them. They are open today, Sunday, and are situated at 9 Cowley Road W3, just down from Tesco on the Vale.
