I'm with you on the semantic point Keith.But am much more irritated by drivers - of indeterminate sex - who idle at the level crossing in Churchfield Road with their engines pumping crud into the air, in spite of the signs asking them to turn their engines off while they wait.Was wondering (as I waited on a bike and surrounded by fumes)about either leafletting them (cold and boring) or trying to persuade the community or travel cops to ticket a few - but that would take a while.

A large digital panel showing the pollution levels (which changes according to the level of pollution) displayed so all could see - might help.
