Have recently spotted a notice on a lamp post in Lynton Road about the 'Friars Greem' CPZ which people were consulted on in 2009. It seems like it's going ahead if I understood the notice properly. Does anyone else know anything about it?Links belowhttp://www2.ealing.gov.uk/services/council/consultations/past_consultations/environment/transport_and_streets/friars_green/index.htmlhttp://www2.ealing.gov.uk/ealing3/export/sites/ealingweb/services/council/consultations/past_consultations/environment/transport_and_streets/friars_green/_docs/friary_rd_cpz_responses_211009.pdf

Thanks for this But we never did received the February 2011 consultation documents........If the CPZ go head, What will happen to access to once driveway if the curb is not lowered properly ? Has the council have the right to block it with a parking space ? unless you pay a very high price to have it dropped?

If I understand your reply, and you currently have a driveway but no dropped kerb crossover, then as it stands you have no right to drive over the pavement or prevent anyone from parking outside your drive and blocking you in.So yes the council will put a parking space outside your drive.I would speak to them regarding putting one in, otherwise it may cost more later, (to remove the white parking bay lines etc).

Local residents have now received documents relating to the proposed CPZ.

Not this local resident! Was it a mail shot or did you specifically ask. What do the documents say?

Sent specifically to us, asking our opinion on the current zone FF and what changes, if any, we would like made, ie. timing of enforced restrictions, etc. It also gave the outline of the propsed expanded area.

Driving over the public footway without having a pavement crossover is an offence for which you can be fined.
