Olympic Countdown fireworks

Being set off from BT tower tonight at 6.30 to mark 500 days until the opening ceremony.  Any suggestions as to vantage points in Acton (or environs) to watch?

You get a very good view of the BT tower from the top of Churchfield Road.Looking Eastwards, from near the pet shop, onwards, towards the direction of the level crossing.BT tower is lit up mainly red and white, most nights. The fireworks should look spectacular, even from that distance.

Indeed, it's probably better seeing them from a decent distance than from random bits of Central London with buildings in the way.  Anyone know how long the display is going to be?  I can't find any info on the interweb.  Anything less than 20 minutes MINIMUM is not worth the bother, methinks.

From memory, the 1000 day fireworks display was a pretty short blast.  I remember thinking it was probably kept short due to the implications of hundreds of motorists, during rush hour, in central London, peering up at the sky, watching fireworks.Most of the 1000 day Youtube clips are less than 2 minutes long.

Bit late on this one but for future spectacles, I recommend the pedestrian bridge over the A40 at the top of Perryn Road The views over London are incredible.
