Twyford Gardens

Noticed some t.v. vans at Twyford Gardens this morning, so went to investigate.  It appears that Gorilla Gardners, have taken over what have been for the last few summers, very elegant flower beds with drifts of soft pinks, blues and greys and planted straight rows of amongst other horrors, French Marigolds.  I wrongly believed guerilla gardening took over untended patches, there was nothing wrong with these beds, as a charity their time and effort could have been much better spent elsewhere.

I thought guerilla gardeners took over untended areas - their website certainly suggests as much. I have been quite tempted to go along to one of their activities but West London is pretty quiet.I wonder if these were guerrilla guerilla gardeners as it were ie not associated with the respectable wing (bit like the demos last weekend!)

Just seen an item on BBC London News - Twyford Gardens was given a makeover by students.  Something to do with a new mobile phone app that promotes volunteering.
