" My house was freezing during Jan/Feb and I don't want to suffer again next winter "I'd focus on draught exclusion initially. That Jan/Feb weather was so cold, I could actually feel the cold air coming in through the edges of one particular sash window. I did a bit of DIY to fix that, with a roll of foam sticky back stuff (99p store), it made a noticeable difference.Draught excluders on all doors help as well. The aim is to stop cold air entering the home, drifting from room to room. You know what they say :-Between 10-20% of heat loss in a home is through draughts in windows and doors, etc, etc, blah blah.
