Drinking Water Needing to be Prescribed

Is this something to do with the tsunami of older people?It makes me feel very uncomfortable about hospital practice.I have seen the lack of interest paid as to whether patients are eating and drinking and the lack of help they get.  For instance my nearly blind father-in-law was being fed by other patients in the ward and when he asked someone passing by to pour some water for him they said it wasn't their job.Many of us have parents who do not live in London.  It just shows how important it is to keep in touch with them.One of the best ideas I have come across comes from www.wearewhatwedo.org and it is Teach Your Granny to Text.  Why not teach both Granny and Grandad to text?  It is a very useful way to keep in touch.  I wish I had.
