Dog shit in childrens play area

I was absolutely appaled to discover yesterday evening that a dog owner had allowed their dog into the childrens play area on the South Acton Recreation ground and the dog had then shit under the childrens slide where there is seating. Not only is it disgusting it is an actual health risk. Dog shit can carry a bug that blinds children. My 2 yr old pointed it out to me or id never have seen it, i told other parents but, and i sincerely mean this, if i catch any dog owner allowing their dog to do this then they will sincerely regret it.I am sorry to be blunt but its bad enough having what id term fight dogs or prats dogs running around without leads but to have them shit in a designated and fenced off childrens play area is beneath contempt.I have informed the council so it can be cleaned up properly as it is not easily removed.

i wonder  is  it  the  same  guy that  lets his  dogs to  the  same  in  the  little  park  opp because  the  dogs  are so big  and  look dangerious  he  seems  to  keep  them  in a enclosed  area

Are you sure it's not fox poo? It looks pretty similar and Ealing's fox population are quite adept at jumping gates and fences...

Well it definitely smelt like dog poo. Its still there though thankfully yesterdays heavy rain washed the rope and slide clean.

Have to say I think it is likely that it is dog poo.  I have seen people with their dogs and children in this area myself!

Actually maybe its worth seeing if some of the money that has recently been awarded to South Acton ward for recycling improvement could be spent on better signage for dog owners!  I believe the only signs are on the noticeboard on the other side of the green.

there are some tiny signs on 2 of the gates going into the play area but they are hardly visible

the  whole  of  the  south acton rec  needs a  facelift  the security  mirror  going  over the  church  path  bridge was  bronen  for weeks  only  to  be  broken again  next  day the  have  taken  down  the  security  fencing  around  the  playground  only  to  be  left  one  side grass  growing  up around  who  looks  arter  this  area

It's unlikely that any signs large or small, however visible would make the slightest bit of difference to the type of morons that let their dogs into/foul children's play areas.
