SUPERMARKET ON CHURFIELD ROAD

I heard that either a Tesco or a Sainsburys is planning to open in the old printers shop on Churchfield. Surely this street is too small for this. It will put most of the small traders out of business. Has there been consultation or is there a petition around? Please let me know more about this. Thanks

If is is going to be a 'local' type shop, aren't they concessions?

there's no planning permission apart from a signage one that went through some time ago I think. Supermarkets don't do confirming or denying whther they are about to arrive...but one local trader says the shopfitters told her they work for Sainsbury's. Make of it what you willI'm more worried about the doss-house projected above - extra storey, 20 bedsits, 11 bathrooms and some shared kitchens.

There must have been some pre-planning application discussion on the 'doss' house proposal by the developer with Ealing Council.Has anyone spoken with the Planning Department to find out why the developer has applied for such a planning permission?

It may be a good idea perhaps, that as Chairman of the CCA you could use your influence, by giving them a call and asking them?Did you object on behalf of the CCA?

I have objected on behalf of the CCA.I cannot however work fulltime for the CCA so if anyone wants to lead a campaign, that's great.The consultation response is all I can manage just now.
