I've been buying energy saving bulbs from different shops over the years. Some give off a warm, yellowish light, others give a very bright, fluorescent tube type white light, and anywhere in between. For me, the bright white, fluorescent tube type bulb best suited the kitchen hob hood. It's an Astor 9W 6400K 3305 CEI haven't a clue where I bought it, can't guarantee they all give the same type of light. The usual complaint about energy saving bulbs (aka CFL/ compact fluorescent lightbulbs ) is the harsh, white light they give off.Best not buy from a single source, build up a little stock of bulbs, try 'em out at home, and use where appropriate.
