Yes, this is a fantastic new playground that will transform the whole infants play area. Plans are GREAT!

We have heard that the school may be interested in 91 Shakespeare Road, the old Conservative Party Headquarters. If so, it would be an excellent solution to two problems. But, they better hurry. The owner has plans to demolish the building starting next week! Hopefully an ocean of red tape lies before him, but still any action to save the building must happen now.

Sheldon, if that is the case, why not put up notices all round the area of this intention - there are possibly people who do not know of the history around this site.

It's due to be discussed in council next week - meanwhile there is quite a lot going on to prevent instant demolition I believe.

Hi DeeThere is very great interest in both saving the old Tory Headquarters and the development of the site.http://www.facebook.com/pages/Save-91-Shakespeare-Road/125956234137428 The use of the building by the school could perhaps negate the necessity for a portacabin or two. I have heard, but know nothing more, that the education authorities are looking into the matter. The point I was making is that they better hurry up. It could already be too late.

'They' better hurry up indeed.  Many thanks for info.  I walked by the site last weekend and it would be such a pity if the building were demolished.
