Cannabis haul, Horn Lane?

Did anyone hear of a drugs bust in Horn Lane last week?  I've seen nothing printed but have heard there was a house or flat entered by Police where they found a cannabis "farm".  Any further info anyone?

Hi Nicola.  I get strange emails all the time!!  Too many to even open so I delete them as soon as they arrive.  Have checked them all now and nothing unusual.

Cannabis 'farms' are sometimes 'disguised' by strong perfumes in order to hide the smell of the plants.I reported something of this sort, and the local police checked it out with heat detecting equipment (as the plants need plenty of heat to flourish).  In this case all was OK.Watch out too for windows that are always shut and blacked out and comings and goings at night.But keep a 'nose' out for such smells which could be hiding something sinister.

Not that this is particularly relevant at this time of year, Cannabis factories set up in houses are easiest to spot after it has snowed. The heat that comes off of them will melt any snow that has landed on the roof.

You would have thought of course that they would have the sense to insulate.  But, I've heard that they tap into the mains and the electricity they use is a freebie!Presumably such wastage is passed on to you and I the legal consumer!
