Smartphone App to report graffiti/fly-tipping/potholes
Did anyone see the BBC News report on Lewisham Council who have pioneered the use of the Smartphone app in order to get their residents report graffiti, fly-tips and potholes? I saw it by following KeepBritianTidy.org on Twitter. Has Ealing Borough caught up with this yet? It would certainly increase the amount of reporting I would think. Not everyone wants to be a Streetwatcher or go to the lengths of phoning into the Council or emailing them. The app allows you to photograph the "incident" and send it directly to the Council. The Council then re-photograph the job when it's done and send it to the person who sent it in. It's an easy process, the report said, with just the click of a couple of buttons.Great stuff.
