Guerrilla sunflowers?

Anyone noticed the display of sunflowerts now coming into full bloom in St Mary's churchyard?presumably planted by guerrilla gardeners in about May - this is their trademark. they have come up really well, much better than my over-nurtured ones.Definitely worth a look

Could be a keen gardener.  Possibly birds transplanting!Was the info I sent you of any help?

Talking of flowers, I went to my Mum's grave today as I often do.  I tend to water other resting places where the flowers need a little water and today I noticed a new burial with lots of wreaths and displays of flowers.  I thought I'd give them a water in this heat otherwise they'd die off quite quickly.  I watered them and then, to my embarrassment, noticed they were mostly fake flowers!  I've never seen "Mum", "Nan" and other large funeral displays that are fake!  They looked so real.I hope no-one was watching.

No longer guerrilla but 'Friends of St Mary's Burial Ground' instigated by the fabulous Camilla and other Grove Placers! You may have seen the posters about, if anyone is interested in coming along to do some gardening and general maintenance in St Mary's Burial Ground, the group meets on the second Saturday of every month 2-4pm. Next dates 13th August, 10th Sept, and 8th October (for the 5th annual bulb planting)....

Hi Sara - I tried to pm you twice but message failed on both occasions.  Please may I have the 'phone number of your painter/decorator.  My mother has a two bedroom flat being vacated this week and I cannot find your original thread - perhaps he has found a flat so you removed the thread?  Also I would welcome a quote from him for some work in my home.  Thank you

Bother - really like the annual bulb planting but you have picked Yom Kippur and I don't think I can atone for my many sins by planting daffodils.Sunflowers even more bright and breezy this morning.
