Parking - This will be fun,

So we are having our road resurfaced. In the notification letter is the following:-"All parking within the works area will be suspended. To enable work to take place any vehicles parked in the working area will be relocated to a neighbouring street. They will not be returned to their original position once the works are complete"Assuming they can find any spaces in the neighbouring roads in the first place what are residents who are on holiday going to think when the return to find no car.

How much notice have they given you?  Have they delivered the leaflet today and start work tomorrow or do they start in a few weeks.  I would say at least 3 weeks notice should be given for, as you say, people with holiday plans.And what if they put your car in the parking zone because they can't find anywhere else?  Will they cover the parking ticket?

Oh, jolly hockey sticks.Stick them over the east side, the wardens WILL have fun, let the mayhem begin.Just taken the dog for a walk, only to find that Grafton is closed to traffic from Horn Lane.  They are re-surfacing on Horn Ln opposite the bathroom shop.Bob did you get the forward I sent you from Bess and, is he being obstructive?
