What happened to summer?

This week has been so grey and wet. Hard to believe it's August. I was hoping to get a day trip to the south coast but it doesnt seem much point.Depressing to think Autumn and Winter just around the corner.

Winter definitely seems to have set in today.  Someone I know mentioned they had the heat on over the weekend.  Is Sept going to be any warmer?

We may be lucky and get an Indian summer Kim but at the moment i'm sitting here with a pair of fluffy socks on and a hot water bottle on my back !

And 26 degrees on Saturday according to the BBC.  Although I have loved this summer,  not too hot at all!
