Oxfam Shop needs your help!

You may have heard that the Oxfam shop in Ealing was looted during the riots. This shop specialises in CDs and DVDs and is located next to the post office on Ealing Green. They plan to reopen this week but need help in restocking as so much was either taken or ruined. How disgusting to do this to a charity shop.If you have loads of CDs and DVDs that are just sitting around collecting dust or up in the attic, please take them down to help them restock.(Im sure from previous visits that they also had LPs, videos and cassettes but not sure if they still need these items).

Is that the Oxfam bookshop? Do they need books as well, cos I'm having a clear out?

I heard that the Oxfam bookshop was untouched (naturally). They targetted the Oxfam Music Shop instead for CDs and DVDs.

I thought it odd that they would be looting books! I didn't know there was another Oxfam shop, apart from the general shop near the town hall.

Yes, it's down on Ealing Green opposite the art shop which I think was also badly looted.

Yes, there are three. The general one is the one near the Town Hall but the Oxfam Bookshop and the Oxfam Music Store are in the parade where the corner supermarket by the mini roundabout was so badly burned.

Charity shops are losing out to commercial door-to-door collections - some of which pretend to be for charity or give only a small proportion of the money raised to charity.The British Heart Foundation has started a campaign for stock too.
